Hanuman Mantras

ॐ हनुमते नमः

oṃ hanumate namaḥ

I bow to Hanuman, courage and devotion embodied.

ॐ आञ्जनेयाय विद्महे वायुपुत्राय धीमहि तन्नो हनुमत् प्रचोदयात्

oṃ āñjaneyāya vidmahe vāyuputrāya dhīmahi tanno hanumat pracodayāt

May we know the son of Anjana and meditate on the son of the Wind; may Hanuman inspire us.

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम् । वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥

manojavaṃ māruta-tulya-vegaṃ jitendriyaṃ buddhimatāṃ variṣṭham, vātātmajaṃ vānara-yūtha-mukhyaṃ śrī-rāma-dūtaṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye

I take refuge in Hanuman — swift as thought, mighty as the wind, master of the senses, devoted messenger of Rama.

बुद्धिर्बलं यशो धैर्यं निर्भयत्वमरोगता । अजाड्यं वाक्पटुत्वं च हनुमत्स्मरणाद्भवेत् ॥

buddhir balaṃ yaśo dhairyaṃ nirbhayatvam arogatā, ajāḍyaṃ vāk-paṭutvaṃ ca hanumat-smaraṇād bhavet

Wisdom, strength, fame, courage, fearlessness, and health arise from remembering Hanuman.

ॐ श्री हनुमते नमः

oṃ śrī hanumate namaḥ

I bow to Sri Hanuman, remover of troubles (also honored on Saturday).

अतुलितबलधामं हेमशैलाभदेहं दनुजवनकृशानुं ज्ञानिनामग्रगण्यम्

atulita-bala-dhāmaṃ hema-śailābha-dehaṃ danuja-vana-kṛśānuṃ jñāninām agra-gaṇyam

Hanuman — of immeasurable strength, body like a golden mountain, foremost of the wise.

ॐ आञ्जनेयाय नमः

oṃ āñjaneyāya namaḥ

I bow to Anjaneya, the son of Anjana.

ॐ रामदूताय नमः

oṃ rāma-dūtāya namaḥ

I bow to the devoted messenger of Rama.

ॐ वायुपुत्राय नमः

oṃ vāyu-putrāya namaḥ

I bow to the son of the Wind.

ॐ महाबलाय नमः

oṃ mahābalāya namaḥ

I bow to Hanuman of great strength.
